Ice cream cupcakes

This past Sunday was Palm Sunday and I had family visit so I decided to prepare a treat, I made ice cream cupcakes! If you want to learn how to bake the cupcakes click on the recipie below. Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with cupcake, I love making them, they are so cute! I was so happy to bake on Sunday because it was the first time I got to use my new cupcake apron! I purchased it from Flirty Aprons, after using a coupon it came to $30 with shipping.

 I hope you try to make these, they were really fun! I baked the cake part from scratch, Instead of using frosting I used frozen yogurt on top. I waited for it to melt a bit and placed it in a pastry bag and then acted as if I was applying frosting, it was very cold and still firm so it was a little hard to make a perfect swirl. As you can see, the frozen yogurt melts very quickly to they need to be eaten as soon as they are "frosted." The recipie for the cake came from cupcake 11 on this site, but I did not use the filling.
